Professional Overspray Removal System

Removing the contamination is only part of the job. The real challenge is determining what you're dealing with, what surfaces are affected, how aggressive you can safely become—and what the finish will require afterward.

Before You Start, You Need Answers.

What is the contamination?

How strongly is it bonded?

Which surfaces are affected?

How vulnerable are those surfaces?

Where should the removal process begin?

When should you escalate?

Will paint correction be required afterward?

How much should you charge?

When should you stop?

Can it be removed safely?

And when should you refer out?

That's Why I Built The Professional Overspray Removal System.

The Professional Overspray Removal System provides a structured framework for inspecting, identifying, testing, removing, correcting, pricing and documenting overspray-removal jobs. Instead of immediately reaching for a stronger chemical, more aggressive clay or heavier correction, the process helps you determine what the job actually requires.

THE CONTAMINANT DETERMINES THE PROBLEM.
THE SURFACE DETERMINES THE LIMIT.

The objective isn't maximum aggression. It's controlled removal with the least aggressive method that is actually effective.

A STRUCTURED APPROACH TO OVERSPRAY REMOVAL

STOP RELYING ON TRIAL AND ERROR.

Professional overspray removal requires more than knowing which chemical, clay or correction method to reach for. The Professional Overspray Removal System uses a Seven-Level Removal & Restoration framework designed to help you determine where to begin, when to reassess, when escalation may be justified—and when it's time to stop.

Diagnose Before You Act
Evaluate the contamination, affected surfaces, severity, condition and risk before committing to a removal strategy.

Escalate With Purpose
Move through the process based on inspection and test results—not simply because the previous method didn't immediately work.

Know Your Limits
Recognize the difference between contamination removal, finish restoration and the point where further intervention may no longer be justified.

The complete Seven-Level System—including the process structure, decision points, escalation framework, surface considerations and stop criteria—is explained inside the Professional Overspray Removal Handbook.

Inside The Professional Overspray Removal Handbook

MORE THAN REMOVAL TECHNIQUES.

The handbook covers the complete overspray-removal process—from the initial vehicle inspection through contamination removal, finish restoration, pricing, documentation and final delivery.

01 — INSPECTION & DIAGNOSIS

Learn how to approach an overspray vehicle systematically, document its condition and gather the information needed before choosing a removal strategy.

02 — CONTAMINATION & SURFACES

Understand how contamination type, bond strength, severity, existing condition and surface vulnerability affect the decisions that follow.

03 — REMOVAL STRATEGY

Learn the principles behind controlled testing, least-aggressive-first removal and deliberate escalation without treating every vehicle the same way.

04 — FINISH RESTORATION

Understand where contamination removal ends and paint correction begins—including when polishing, correction or more advanced restoration may be appropriate.

05 — PRICING & JOB MANAGEMENT

Learn how to evaluate labor, complexity, uncertainty and changing scope while documenting the job professionally from inspection through delivery.

06 — TROUBLESHOOTING & DECISION-MAKING

Learn how to respond when the expected process isn't working, the surface reacts unexpectedly, the diagnosis changes or the job reaches a safe stopping point.

The handbook doesn't teach one universal overspray-removal procedure—because one procedure doesn't fit every contaminant, surface or vehicle.

It teaches a structured way to evaluate the job, select an appropriate starting strategy, reassess the results and make better decisions throughout the process.

Created From Professional Detailing Experience.

Created by David Terral of Divine Detail, the Professional Overspray Removal System was developed around a simple principle: Overspray removal should be treated as a diagnostic and restoration process, not simply an exercise in finding something aggressive enough to remove contamination.

The system combines: Diagnosis + Controlled Escalation + Surface Preservation + Restoration + Documentation into a repeatable professional workflow.

From The Author

I'm David Terral, owner and operator of Divine Detail. I've spent approximately 15 years building and operating my detailing business, working hands-on with everything from everyday vehicles to high-end and specialty automobiles. Over the years, one thing became increasingly clear: overspray removal shouldn't be approached as simply finding something aggressive enough to get the contamination off.

The difficult part is knowing what you're dealing with, what the affected surface can tolerate, how far to escalate, what the finish will require afterward, and when to stop.

That's why I developed the Professional Overspray Removal System—a structured approach designed to bring inspection, diagnosis, controlled removal, finish restoration, pricing and documentation together into one professional workflow.

“The goal isn't to teach you one trick that works on one type of overspray. It's to give you a system for making better decisions when every job is different.”

Frequently Asked Questions.

Here's what you should know before purchasing the Professional Overspray Removal System.

Is this a video course?

No. Version 1.0 is a professional digital training and reference system designed to be read, searched, printed and used during real overspray-removal work.

The Handbook is delivered as a PDF. The Complete Professional Kit adds printable inspection, production and reference resources, while the Business Kit also includes the interactive Excel Pricing Calculator.

Who is this designed for?

The system is primarily designed for professional automotive detailers, paint-correction specialists, detailing shop owners, mobile detailers and experienced technicians who want to add or improve professional overspray-removal services.

It assumes the user already has a working understanding of professional detailing practices, tools, chemicals and vehicle surfaces.

Will this tell me exactly which chemical to use on every type of overspray?

No—and intentionally so.

There is no single chemical, concentration, dwell time or procedure that's appropriate for every contaminant and every vehicle surface.

The system focuses on inspection, identification, controlled testing, process selection and deliberate escalation while requiring technicians to follow current product instructions, Safety Data Sheets and manufacturer guidance.

Does the system guarantee that every vehicle can be completely restored?

No. Contamination type, time on the vehicle, affected surfaces, previous damage, previous removal attempts and existing finish condition can all affect the outcome.

Knowing when continued removal or correction is no longer justified is an important part of professional overspray removal.

Can I print the worksheets and forms?

Yes. You may print reasonable working copies of the included worksheets, forms and reference materials for use within your own detailing business.

Can I share the files with my employees?

The materials are licensed for use within the purchasing business and may be used internally by its employees or technicians while performing work for that business.

The files may not be redistributed, resold, publicly uploaded, repackaged, provided to another business or shared as a substitute for another company purchasing its own copy.

What's the difference between the $39, $69 and $99 packages?

$39 — Professional Overspray Removal Handbook
The complete 384-page training and reference manual.

$69 — Complete Professional Kit
The complete handbook plus the Inspection & Pricing Workbook, Technician Job Pack, Quick Reference Guide and START HERE Guide.

$99 — Professional Business Kit
Everything in the Complete Professional Kit plus the interactive Excel Overspray Pricing Calculator.

What does the Pricing Calculator do?

The Pricing Calculator helps translate job characteristics and business assumptions into an estimating model.

It can account for factors such as vehicle size, contamination coverage, severity, risk, anticipated process level, labor, materials, correction, protection, outside costs, contingency and target gross margin.

It then calculates business metrics including estimated job cost, recommended selling price, estimated gross profit, gross margin and effective revenue per labor hour.

The calculator's assumptions are editable so you can configure it for your own business.

It is an estimating tool—not a guarantee of price, cost or profitability.

Do I need Microsoft Excel for the Business Kit?

The Pricing Calculator is provided as an Excel workbook (.xlsx). For the best compatibility and to preserve the workbook's formulas and intended functionality, I recommend using Microsoft Excel.

The other Business Kit resources are PDFs.

How will I receive my purchase?

Your purchase is delivered digitally after payment.

Wix provides the download link after checkout and also sends a digital-download link to the email address used with the order.

There is no physical product shipped.

What if I lose my download?

Save the files to your computer and keep a backup after purchasing.

If you have a legitimate problem accessing your purchase, contact Divine Detail with the name and email address used for the order so the purchase can be verified.

Can I resell or redistribute the system?

No.

The handbook, forms, guides, worksheets, calculator, graphics and other included materials are copyrighted intellectual property.

They may not be resold, redistributed, repackaged, publicly uploaded or offered as part of another training product.
